An amazing wall mural to Liverpool FC’s legendary goalkeeper, Ray Clemence. The tribute is brilliantly etched onto the side of a house near to Anfield Stadium in Wylva Road.
The mural is accompanied by a once spoken quote from former Manager, Bill Shankly, which reads: “Ray had everything, he’s quick, he doesn’t wanna be beaten. He’s just a great goalkeeper.”
Clemence joined Liverpool FC in 1967 and made 665 appearances for the club. During that time, he won three European cup winners’ medals. Ray is considered by most fans as the Reds greatest ever goalkeeper and is a true icon of the club.
